The Witchcraft Religion

Witchcraft is a religion that underscores polarity and views the God and the Goddess as equal entities. Witches’ do not discriminate against color or ethnic origin and does view everything as equal in the eyes of the Goddess and the God.

The Pentacle…It is worn as an amulet and a symbol for protection. The five-pointed star represents the human body and the earth. In combination, the star surrounded by the circle represents the human body encompassed by the protection of the Goddess/God force. It is the symbol for Universal Wisdom.

Dressed in Black?
Witches wear all colors and styles of clothing… Many Witches do choose to wear black clothing or ritual robes. The color black is the culmination of all vibrational rates of light on the material plane. Black absorbs light information and helps Witches be more receptive to psychic impressions and energies.

Magic Wands... Often you see the use of magic wands in children's cartoons and movies making the idea seem frivolous. In actuality they are used in healing for directing energy.Witches do use Witchcraft as a science, an art and a religion... They use their knowledge and magic in harmony with the Universe and Nature around them.

Witches do concern themselves with ecology...

They have never forgotten this basic fact: the world is not our enemy. Neither is it inert, dumb matter. The earth and all living things share the same life-force. They are composed of patterns of intelligence, of knowledge, and of divinity. all life is a web. We are woven into it as sisters and brothers of All. Witches need to be grounded in both worlds and awake to their responsibilities for both worlds.

An herb is a plant that withers and dies after flowering, it lacks woody tissue , but has a medicine, seasoning scent. Herbs can be a wonderful addition to any spell or magickal working.
By nature, most herbs have certain properties that will help enhance the outcome of your intention. While it isn’t always necessary to use specific herbs in your witchcraft spells and potions, sprinkling a small pinch of corresponding herbs into the candle flame can lend more power to your spell.
You can also leave small dishes of herbs around your home to neutralize negative influences, promote peace and tranquility, and encourage beneficial energy.
Or consider making small charm bags with special combinations of herbs to further your spells after you close your circle.
Here are some common household herbs that can be easily obtained and used in your spells or magickal workings:

Basil – Is regarded as a love token. It is wonderful for neutralizing and repelling negative energy. Use it in your healing spells, or sprinkle it at the threshold to your home to keep away unwanted influences. Basil can also be used in prosperity spells to encourage abundance and positive outcomes.

Bay leaves – can help you to strengthen your psychic abilities, repel negativity, and increase your personal power. Use it in spells to open your psychic awareness, promote prophetic dreams, and increase your courage in any undertaking.

Cinnamon – is a multi-purpose herb that can be used in nearly any type of spell or magickal work. Typically it is known for its prosperity-attracting properties, but you can also use it for protection, enhancing spiritual awareness, and encouraging healing.

Cloves - To ensure that a friendship lasts for a long time, some cloves are sewn up in two little bags, each friend carries one at all times.

Fennel seed – is even more powerful at repelling negativity in all forms. Use it in your banishing spells or leave small dishes of it in the main areas of your home to neutralize negativity.

Lavender – flowers are wonderful for calling in positive energy and repelling negative energy. Sesame seeds – attract success and abundance. Place them anywhere you wish to attract more prosperity, whether at home or work. You can also carry a small pouch of them when going to a job interview, or starting your own business.
